The preparations are being made for my second around the world trip. This time I’ll be going for six months with my husband Rich. We depart on February 8, 2016 and will be starting the trip in Buenos Aires. The plan so far is to head to Patagonia for a month and meet my parents in Santiago in mid-March. From there we’re looking at Asia and Africa.
Tentatively planning on the Philippines, Nepal, Mongolia, Myanmar, and a few different countries in Africa. But things may change as we go. For now, we have plane tickets to Buenos Aires from Portland, tickets from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, and reservations at refugios in Torres del Paine in late February.
My job has generously agreed to a six month leave of absence for me. Rich finishes his job next week and will take lead on a good amount of the prep work in January.
What a great way to kick off 2016!

Awesome trip. Mongolia is on my list. So jealous…
We were in Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zanzibar, and the Seychelles last couple years. Can help if your travels take you that way. Looking forward to following your blog.

Would love info about the Seychelles. We are thinking about it. Is it affordable?
